Bok Tower Gardens located in Lake Wales, Florida was founded by Edward W. Bok. At the age of six Bok came to America and had a love of nature, between his love of nature and his grandmothers influence, Bok was inspired to bring beauty into the world. Working with landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr, Bok created this magnificent historical garden and bird sanctuary. Bok Gardens has had over 23 million visitors since its opening on February 1st, 1929. Today, the gardens are home to 126 bird species and is one of 39 conservation institutes with 64 of Florida’s rarest plant species.

February 1st through April 30th guest can experience the Spring Festival enjoying the beauty of thousands of azaleas, camellias, and annuals. Upon visiting Bok Gardens, you will see the Singing Towers which houses a 60-bell carillon and a 1930s Mediterranean-style mansion. Yoga, mindful eating, animal tracking, beekeeping, and mindful meditation are just some of the events Bok Gardens offers. Check their websites in advance as events, prices, times, and days change. Virtual workshops are also available. Concert under the stars is a unique experience for those beautiful starlit nights. Concerts range from country nights, jazz night, funk and groove, as well as other genres.

Self-guided school field trips are available for children ages 2-12. Students will visit Hammock Hollow Children’s Garden and explore its 2.7 acres.

Bok Gardens is not only a majestic experience for all ages it is also a place where guest can experience artistic, cultural, personal, and spiritual enrichment. The Reflection Pool gives a magnificent and unforgettable reflection of the Singing Towers.
