Bonnet Springs Park is relatively close to downtown Lakeland, This park has magnificent giant oak trees and a clear gurgling stream that flows to Lake Bonnet below.
This park is still under construction but when completed, this urban park will have everything from a botanical garden to museum. The Nature Center will consist of two buildings providing exhibit space, classrooms, food vendors, and paddle boat rentals.
This park has volunteer opportunities for those wanting to donate some time in nature.
