Circle B Bar Reserve

 Circle B Bar Reserve
In December 2000, Circle B Bar Reserve was acquired and became a way to protect valuable water and wildlife resources. One of the goals was to restore Banana Creek Marsh. This beautiful reserve was once a cattle ranch and sits on 1,267 acres. Public and group Tram Tours are available, there are also picnic areas for those that want to have lunch and enjoy the surrounding nature.

When visiting Circle B Bar Reserve, you can hike one of it's many trails. There are eight trails you can hike, the shortest trail is 0.2 miles and the longest trail is 2.3 miles. No matter which trail you choose you will be surrounded by the beauty of nature. Swamp marsh, oak hammocks, wading birds, otters, alligators, bobcats, and more are just a few animals you can come across while hiking. Snakes, grey foxes, and armadillos are also among some of Circle B Bar Reserve's inhabitants. On some trails, you will pass old cattle pens, these were left as a reminder of what the reserve used to be. Some trails have full shade, others have mild shade, and there are trails with no shade. Eagle Roost is 0.7 miles with no shade, but it has the best wildlife observation and goes into the deepest parts of the marsh.

A Discovery Center as you enter Circle B is a great way to start off your adventure by learning about the trails, the animals that reside at the reserve, and the wildflower plants you will come across.

Nature artist and photographers will certainly have an amazing experience. Some of the communities you will come across on the reserve include Oak hammock, freshwater wetlands, Banana Creek which is 400 acres, wildlife, and wildflowers.

To protect the reserve and keep it open to the public, visitors are asked to please be mindful to the plants and animals. Nature lovers, artist, hikers, and those that want to learn are sure to love visiting Circle B Bar Reserve.
