Like how inclusion classrooms aim to keep children of the same age in the same classroom, regardless of what their abilities or needs are, Common Ground Playground in Lakeland is an inclusive play experience.
Because they want to make sure the park has something fun for all children, there are numerous different play areas to cater to whichever developmental state your child is currently at. Your child will have so much fun exploring this new play area and the best part is, it will cost you nothing to take a trip there!
You will have the best day watching your child enjoy all of the slides, tunnels, walkways, ladders and so much more. There is so much to do your child will never want to leave. All of the different colors and sizes of the different play areas will keep your children excited and wanting to come back for more.
To make it easy to figure out what spot is best for your child, the park is purposely color coded to signify which areas are best for different ages and abilities so you know right away which areas are best for your child where they can play with other children of the same skill level, regardless of any abilities or disabilities that might be present. This non-traditional playground structure is a must on your next trip to Lakeland!
While you are there, also check out some of the available pavilions for a private event of even just to relax for lunch with your group. Pavilions are available to rent for specific occasions, or they are first come, first serve for those who are playing at the playground that day, as long as they haven’t been previously rented to someone else.
