Loyce E. Harpe Park
Loyce E. Harpe Park, also known as Carter Road Park, is a local favorite park.
Known as a favorite among youth sports teams and mountain bikers around the county, there’s activities for every age to enjoy, including a dog park.
The mountain bike trail is approximately seven miles long and offers beginner to advanced riders lots of fun. The trail is known for its scenic view of the lakes on both sides, and the various wildlife encounters possible.
It offers many sports fields. It's home to eight 200 foot youth fields, four 300 foot adult softball fields and six multi use fields for whichever activity you choose, the most common use of the fields are soccer and disc golf. There are also two covered batting tunnels for anyone to hit the baseball.
A great park for all ages, for the younger crowd there are three playground structures, two with large canopies to reduce the sun. There is a recently renovated pavilion with picnic tables to enjoy a lunch. The restrooms are easily accessible, located at the back of the playground.
