Munn Park Historic District
Munn Park Historic District is a lovely area of the city that had been preserved for historical purposes. This area includes buildings dating as far back as 1902.
This historical district is mostly comprised of commercial buildings and contains some of the oldest structures in the city. There is a Confederate Monument in the center and interesting stores and restaurants around the park. It’s a great place to grab a meal or coffee while taking in some history. Street parking is free and there are plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the park.
Munn park has ongoing events throughout the year like art shows and festivals. There is a street market in the area on Saturdays and on the second Thursday of the month they hold the Lakeland Food Truck Rally which surrounds an entire square city block. This charming park is beautifully lit up during the holidays.
