Peterson Park
Peterson Park in Lakeland has a variety of facilities for kids and families.
The park has a playground, nature boardwalk and walking/biking trails. The nature boardwalks take you up into the trees. There are also six baseball fields and a boat ramp for fishing or paddling.
Peterson Park has a number of pavilions, all on a first come first serve basis. There is also a large screened pavilion at the back of Peterson Park with a large grassy field. This park is also great for just sitting and relaxing relaxing and watching the birds, turtles, fish and alligators.
Peterson Park also hosts events like small art festivals, pet appreciation festivals and local association meetings. You can rent the Eagles Nest Pavilion for special occasions and enjoy a covered and screened area for hosting a party with meals.
There is plenty of parking and ample restrooms at Peterson Park.
