Located in Lakeland, Safari Wilderness Ranch allows you to take in all the amazing sights and sounds the wilderness has to offer. Unlike a zoo or theme park, Safari Wilderness Ranch is a natural adventure with no crowds and no lines where you can schedule an unforgettable guided tour through over 260 acres of pristine wilderness in customized safari vehicles with shaded canopies and stadium seating.

The native Madagascar primates make for a natural adventure on this exclusive, fun and educational journey while exploring Florida’s natural and human history with the opportunity to encounter the endangered and extinct wildlife. You can also enjoy unique birds soaring overhead while surrounded by wetland exotic species, African Watusi, and Irish Dexter cattle.

Excursions include customized vehicle safari’s, ATV safari’s, camel expedition’s, kayak, safari’s, sunset safari’s, and school field trips. Safari Wilderness also offers optional extras if you are interested in the incredible experience of feeding ring-tailed lemurs or guinea pigs.

If you are looking for a truly unique setting for an exceptional private event, such as a wedding, corporate event, baby shower, birthday party, graduation party, holiday party, or other special occasion, Safari Wilderness Ranch offers private facility rentals. You can choose from several different venues, such as the Safari Lodge, the treehouse and the verandah. Private events include once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounters, guided safari’s by vehicle, camelback, or kayak, hand-feeding ring-tailed lemurs, free-flight walkthrough aviary, complimentary parking and ample restroom facilities.

The 13,000 square foot Safari Lodge, accommodated with heating and air conditioning, is surrounded by centuries-old cypress trees, ceilings soaring 26’ high, large picture windows, and looks over herds of African antelope. For a more dramatic setting, the elevated Treehouse provides a 360-degree panoramic view of the wildlife from the treetop overlooking gorgeous lakes and landscapes where the herds roam. The third location is the Verandah, which is 1,500 square feet with concrete floors and picnic tables. Here you can enjoy a direct view of the African veldt, antelope/lemur island, and a huge walkthrough aviary and lemur habitat.

Safari Wilderness Ranch is a family-owned ranch that is a Florida agritourism project licensed by the USDA. The landscape is surrounded by 870 square miles of pristine watershed, which is the source of four of Florida’s finest rivers. Visitors are only allowed in very limited numbers at one time due to the sensitivity of the area.
