 Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre
The Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre was the very first drive-in theater present in Lakeland. Opening on April 14, 1948. The flyer from the month of its opening purports it to be: “FLORIDA’S NEWEST MOST MODERN OUTDOOR THEATRE." It is now the last remaining drive-in for Polk County. Its retro-charm still attracts today's movie buffs to watch first-run movies.

The Silver Moon Movie Drive-in shows movies across two screens in double features. The audio comes in through the FM in your car radio. The refreshment center is full of nostalgia. On the walls you can drink in photos of drive-in theatres from days gone by while picking out your favorite snacks and drinks.

Make your own spot in history by parking for a movie, and then getting the t-shirt to prove it! Wear it proudly and let the world know that once upon a time you, too, were a film-goer at the Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre.
