Simmers-Young Park
Located in Winter Haven, Simmers-Young park is a multi purpose park that has a variety of uses for everybody.
It hosts many events and daily sports like soccer, football, dog competitions, and sometimes cricket matches. It features seating for 250 people but more can be easily added.
Considered a perfect park for kids of all ages and family, Simmers-Young park has something for everybody, including dogs. Along with the multi purpose fields, seven are equipped with lights, so the fun doesn’t have to stop when it’s dark. Common uses of the fields include soccer, baseball, and softball.
There are multiple picnic shelters, and tables. The bathrooms are located close by. There is a playground for the younger crowd, but still lets parents enjoy the picnic areas while watching. Also featured is a dog park.
There is also fishing off the bank and off the pier. Check with the Florida fish and Wildlife for the license requirements and rules to fish.
